Miss Vallejo/Tri-City is a preliminary local competition to the Miss California and Miss America Competition. This will be the first official competition in Vallejo and it coincides with the centennial anniversary of the Miss America Competition. The "Miss" program is a scholarship and mentoring program geared towards young, women between the ages of 18 and 28 who are currently enrolled in college, or will be enrolled within one semester of winning the crown. We serve Vallejo, Fairfield, Benicia, and American Canyon. Contestants must reside in one of the areas, work full-time in one of the areas, or must be a full-time student in a local college in the area. Interested contestants are part of the community, and will be invited to participate in mentoring activities, community improvement projects, and self-empowerment events as they compete for the title of Miss Vallejo/Tri-City.
Sydney Allen is a student activist and filmmaker. She enjoys studying cinematography and visual communications and is currently working on a film score for a documentary narrative. She finds power and liberation through art, and a natural need to share what she discovers with the world. She is a philanthropist and humanitarian, and works hard to ensure environmental and social justice is achieved through acts of grassroots organizing. Sydney is very excited to continue pursuing her passions is life in hopes of making a name for herself through her work with others.

The Miss Vallejo/Tri-City program aims to unite spirited, driven, courageous young ladies to be part of the change. Each contestant creates a social impact initiative designed to address a larger social issue. The platform that Miss Vallejo/Tri-City offer will give contestants a voice to address larger issues that impact them directly or their community.
